12 Scholarships For Alabama Students

1. Alabama Crime Victim Dependent Scholarship:

Students must be an Alabama resident and a dependent of a homicide victim to be eligible for this scholarship. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need. 2. Alabama Federated Women’s Clubs International House Scholarship:

This scholarship was established by Alabama Federated Women’s Club for the benefit of a deserving female international student. 3. Alabama Library Association Scholarships:

4. Alabama National Guard Educational Assistance Program:

These scholarships can be used for tuition, educational fees and book/supplies for Alabama National Guard members to attend a public postsecondary educational institution in Alabama. This scholarship is not based on need, but is limited to students who are active members in good standing with a federally recognized unit of the Alabama National Guard. 5. Alabama Power Company Endowed Educational Scholarship:

Scholarship applicants must be an Alabama state resident to qualify for this scholarship. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must be enrolled full time, and demonstrate potential for a successful career as a communicator. 6. Alabama Power Company Engineering Scholarship:

This scholarship is available to Alabama state residents who are undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time and majoring in Engineering. This scholarship is awarded annually. 8. Alabama Public Library Service Scholarships:

These scholarships are for employees of Alabama public libraries who are pursuing graduate library and information studies degrees part-time. 9. Alabama Scholarships for Dependents of Blind Parents:

These scholarships are awarded to students who are attending an Alabama state institution of higher learning, and come from families in which the head of the family is blind and whose family income is unable to pay for college educational expenses. 10. Alabama Society of CPAs Scholarship:

This scholarship award is for accounting majors at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Students must have completed Intermediate Accounting and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this scholarship. 11. Alabama Space Grant Undergraduate Scholarships:

This scholarship is for high school seniors and community college students in their final year who have been accepted at one of the seven Alabama Space Grant Universities. This scholarship of $1,000 augments the already established scholarship and fellowship program for university undergraduate and graduate students engaged in science, math, and engineering research.
