Information and Eligibility:
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation (AND Foundation) is the largest provider of scholarships to students pursuing degrees in nutrition and dietetics. Each year, the Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in ACEND®-accredited programs, including didactic, coordinated, dietetic internship, and dietetic technician tracks. The goal of these scholarships is to support the next generation of nutrition professionals dedicated to advancing public health, nutrition education, and evidence-based practice.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Enrollment or Acceptance: Applicant must be accepted or enrolled in a U.S. regionally accredited nutrition and dietetics program recognized by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®).
• Field of Study: Open to students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and supervised practice programs in nutrition and dietetics or related fields.
• Membership: Preference is given to members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its affiliated dietetic practice or member interest groups.
• Academic Performance: Applicants should demonstrate strong academic records and a clear commitment to the dietetics profession.

Application Requirements:

• Completed online application through the Academy Foundation scholarship portal (only one application is required for all eligible funds).
• Official or unofficial transcripts showing current enrollment and academic progress.
• Résumé or curriculum vitae summarizing education, work experience, volunteer activities, and leadership roles.
• Personal statement or essay describing career goals, motivation for entering the nutrition and dietetics field, and plans for professional growth.
• Two letters of recommendation from academic faculty or professional mentors familiar with the applicant’s qualifications.

• Commitment to the values and ethics of the nutrition and dietetics field.
