The Albert W. Dent and Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarships are offered annually by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) to assist students in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program. These scholarships honor Albert W. Dent, the first African-American Fellow of ACHE, and Foster G. McGaw, the founder of the American Hospital Supply Corporation. The scholarships aim to provide financial aid to students to help offset tuition costs, student loans, and other educational expenses.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Enrollment Status: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the final year (fall/spring) of a healthcare management graduate program (e.g., MHA, MPH, MBA in Healthcare Administration).
• Graduation Date: Applicants must expect to graduate between September and August.
• Residency Requirements: Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or Canadian citizens.
• Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need is a key consideration in the selection process.
• Previous Recipients: Applicants must not have previously received either the Albert W. Dent or Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship.
• Paid Employment: Applicants who currently hold a paid healthcare management position are not eligible to apply.
• Doctoral Students: Doctoral students are not eligible to apply.
