Information And Eligibility:
The Ambassador Scholarship provides undergraduate scholarships to participants of the Ambassador Leadership and Scholarship Program. Eligible applicants must be planning to attend an accredited public two-year or four-year Colorado college or university full-time for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be eligible to pay Colorado in-state tuition rates, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 at the time of application, complete the FAFSA and/or demonstrate unmet financial need, and meet their school’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be participating in the Ambassador Leadership and Scholarship Program.
  • Planning to attend an accredited public two-year or four-year Colorado college or university full-time for the upcoming academic year.
  • Be eligible to pay Colorado in-state tuition rate.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 at the time of application.
  • Complete the FAFSA and/or can demonstrate unmet financial need.
  • Meet school’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the application through the scholarship lifecycle manager.
  • Provide a list of all extracurricular activities, community volunteering opportunities, and paid/unpaid work experiences.
  • Submit a transcript.
  • Write two essays:
    • Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
  • Provide a community reference.

Additional Information:

  • One student per year will be selected to receive a scholarship covering the student’s unmet need within their cost of attendance after all other financial aid and scholarships have been applied. Award amounts will vary based on a student’s need, other aid, and the cost of their school.
  • The Ambassador Scholarship is renewable for up to four consecutive years provided that the student completes at least full-time status during fall and spring semesters, maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, demonstrates financial need, continues to have unmet financial need in their cost of attendance, and submits a renewal application each year.
  • Funding may be available for the summer semester at less than full-time status provided you meet the scholarship eligibility and receive approval for funding.
  • Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipient’s school and can be used toward tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other qualified educational expenses.
  • Recipients may also request a one-time reimbursement for a computer and/or other supplies required by their school, up to $1,500.
  • Award disbursement is contingent upon the financial aid and scholarship acceptance policies of a recipient’s school.
  • Two additional students will be eligible for a finalist scholarship of $2,500 for one year of college.
