Name: Antonio Cirino Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,000 – $20,000
Information And Eligibility:
The Antonio Cirino Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Antonio Cirino, a respected Rhode Island artist, educator, and advocate for arts education. Cirino devoted much of his career to mentoring aspiring artists and promoting the importance of arts instruction in schools and communities throughout the state. This scholarship was established to continue that legacy by supporting graduate students who are preparing to become educators in the arts.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to Rhode Island residents who are pursuing graduate-level studies in arts education or closely related artistic disciplines with the intention of teaching. By investing in students who plan to educate future generations, the program helps strengthen arts education programs and ensures that creative learning opportunities remain accessible in schools and community organizations.
Recipients are selected based on a combination of academic promise, commitment to arts education, and demonstrated financial need. The scholarship encourages individuals who are passionate about artistic expression and education to pursue careers that support creative development, cultural enrichment, and the advancement of the arts in Rhode Island.
