Information and Eligibility:

The Arts for Life! Scholarship, established in 1999 by former First Lady Columba Bush, supports Florida high school seniors who excel in the visual and performing arts. Annually, 25 scholarships are awarded to students demonstrating excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music, or visual arts. Since its inception, the program has awarded over 650 scholarships, aiding students in pursuing their artistic passions post-graduation.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Residency: Applicants must be residents of Florida.
• Academic Status: Applicants must be graduating seniors from a public, private, virtual school, or home education program in Florida.
• Artistic Excellence: Applicants must demonstrate excellence in one of the following disciplines: creative writing, dance, drama, music, or visual arts. This is assessed through a portfolio of work and a 500-word essay.
• Post-Secondary Intent: Applicants must plan to pursue post-secondary education in their chosen art form.

Deadline: Applications are due by February 11. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
