Information And Eligibility:
The Aurora Pharmaceutical DVM Student Scholarship is a competitive national scholarship program designed to support third-year veterinary students as they complete their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine education. Aurora Pharmaceutical established this program to invest directly in the next generation of veterinarians by helping reduce the financial burden associated with veterinary school and by recognizing students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to the profession.

Each year, Aurora Pharmaceutical awards a total of $100,000 in scholarships to eligible applicants across the United States. The program includes multiple award tiers, allowing the scholarship committee to recognize a broad range of outstanding students. All scholarship funds are sent directly to the recipient’s university and applied to educational expenses, reinforcing the program’s focus on supporting academic advancement. Applicants are encouraged to confirm in advance that their institution is able to accept scholarship funds on their behalf, as this is a requirement for eligibility.

Selection for the Aurora Pharmaceutical DVM Student Scholarship is based on a holistic review process. Applications are evaluated by a committee of Aurora team members using criteria that include academic achievement, relevant work experience, community and university involvement, career goals, written essay responses, and letters of reference. The program places strong emphasis on authentic student voice and professional development, and essays generated using artificial intelligence are not eligible for consideration.

The scholarship is open to all third-year DVM students currently enrolled at an accredited veterinary college within the United States. Dependents of Aurora Pharmaceutical, Cannon Valley Vet Clinic, and Veterinary Provisions employees are not eligible. Aurora Pharmaceutical is committed to equal access and does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation.

By supporting students at a pivotal point in their education, the Aurora Pharmaceutical DVM Student Scholarship aims to empower future veterinary leaders who will contribute meaningfully to animal health, clinical innovation, and the continued advancement of the profession.
