  • Provide a personal statement that includes:
    • Your academic achievements and goals in physics or geophysics.
    • Your participation in extracurricular activities or community service.
    • Challenges you have faced and how you overcame them.
    • How this award will impact your academic and career journey.
  • Submit an official transcript highlighting your coursework and academic performance in physics or related fields.
  • Two letters of recommendation:
    • One from an SPS advisor or faculty member familiar with your academic and extracurricular achievements.
    • One from another faculty member or mentor who can attest to your qualifications and commitment to STEM.
  • Certification from the Department Chair confirming your academic standing and progress toward your degree.

  • Application Deadline: March 15.
  • Award Notification: Winners are announced by late spring.
