Information And Eligibility: It may have a silly name, but the Beans For Brains Scholarship Contest is no joke! The annual Beans For Brains Scholarship (sponsored by Jimmy Beans Wool) is a great opportunity for those who know how to knit or crochet. The scholarship is a merit-based scholarship open to any student attending an accredited institution. Applicants must provide an original pattern or a photo of a recent knit, sewn or crochet project, as well as meet additional scholarship eligibility criteria. Five $3200 Beans For Brains Scholarships will be awarded this year. One Beans For Brains Scholarship will be awarded to a Reno/Tahoe local student, and the remaining four Beans For Brains Scholarship will be distributed evenly among the four U.S. Regions.
