Information And Eligibility: The CBCF Environmental Studies Scholarship is available to women and minority college students seeking a degree in the field of environmental science or other related fields of study. Two CBCF Environmental Studies Scholarships will be awarded this academic year for the amount of $10,000 each, with $5,000 being awarded to the winners at the beginning of each semester. The scholarship money may be used to cover college tuition and any educational related expenses. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity applicants must be full-time undergraduate students with a junior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university, and seeking a degree in a subject that will lead to an environmental career. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal U.S. residents who have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicants will be required to complete the online scholarship application, as well as include a personal statement essay, two letters of recommendation, a resume listing extracurricular activities and accomplishments, and official sealed transcripts from all institutions attended. Applicants will also be required to show proof that they have applied for federal financial aid for college (completed a FAFSA).
