Eligibility Criteria:

  • Financial Need: Applicants should demonstrate an inability to afford the CFA Program fees. There is no specific income or asset threshold; each application is evaluated individually.
  • Program Requirements: Applicants must meet the enrollment criteria for the CFA Program, including holding a bachelor’s degree or being in the final year of a bachelor’s program, or having a combination of professional work experience and education totaling at least four years.
  • Non-Registration: Applicants should not be currently registered for a CFA exam. The scholarship is intended for individuals who have not yet registered for their next exam.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the online Access Scholarship application through the CFA Institute’s scholarship portal.
  • Provide personal information, including educational background and professional experience.
  • Submit a statement explaining financial need and professional goals.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Access Scholarship Rules.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Windows: The Access Scholarship has four application windows per year, each aligning with specific exam windows. Applicants should refer to the CFA Institute’s website for the most current application periods and deadlines.
  • Notification of Awards: Applicants are typically notified of their application status approximately 4-6 weeks after the application window closes.

Additional Information:

  • Applicants are advised not to register for a CFA exam while their scholarship application is pending. If awarded a scholarship, recipients will receive instructions on how to register for the exam at the reduced fee.
  • Scholarships are valid only for the exam window for which they are awarded and cannot be deferred to a future exam window.
