Information And Eligibility: The Chester Burger Scholarship is awarded to graduate students who have displayed (and continue to display) academic excellence, and are majoring in the field of Public Relations. Chester Burger Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in a graduate studies degree program at an accredited institution of higher education, and must be majoring in public relations, journalism, or another closely related field of study. Scholarship applicants are required to have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). To be eligible for the Chester Burger Scholarship, applicants must complete the online scholarship application, submit the required scholarship essay (maximum of 1000 words), and fully complete the letter of recommendation requirements for the scholarship program. The scholarship is offered by the PRSSA, however applicants do not have to be a PRSSA member to apply. The Chester Burger Scholarship award is for $1000, to be used at any U.S. college or university offering a graduate program in public relations or related field.
