Name: Citizens Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500 to $15,000 annually
Information And Eligibility:
The Citizens Scholarship is a highly accessible, no-essay scholarship program designed to help students and families offset the cost of higher education. Offered by Citizens, this program awards multiple monthly scholarships of $2,500, along with an annual grand prize scholarship of $15,000. Because winners are selected through a random drawing, the scholarship is open to a wide audience and does not require applicants to demonstrate financial need, academic merit, or special achievements. Its simplicity and recurring drawing schedule make it one of the most approachable scholarship opportunities available to students and parents nationwide.
Eligibility extends to high school students aged 16 or older, undergraduate students, graduate students, and parents or legal guardians of eligible students. Participants do not need to be Citizens customers to enter, and there is no purchase or essay required. Applicants simply complete an online entry form to be included in the monthly drawing. This streamlined process allows individuals across diverse academic backgrounds, fields of study, and financial situations to participate without barriers.
Award funds are sent directly to the student’s accredited college or university and can be used toward any qualifying educational expenses, such as tuition, fees, textbooks, technology, and other school-related costs. Because drawings occur monthly, participants are encouraged to re-enter each cycle for additional chances to win. The grand prize drawing occurs once per year and provides substantial support to help recipients progress toward their academic goals.
