Information and Eligibility:
The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association (CCTA) scholarship supports high school seniors and currently enrolled college students in the High Plains region who are pursuing studies in agriculture-related fields and are committed to conservation tillage and sustainable farming practices.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Residency/Region: Applicant must reside in or attend school in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, or Wyoming.
  • Field of Study: Must be majoring in agribusiness, agronomy, horticulture, or a related agricultural discipline (animal science and equine science are excluded).
  • Academic Level: Graduating high school senior, or undergraduate student (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior) at a full-time accredited program.
  • Academic Achievement: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed scholarship application form from CCTA.
  • Official or unofficial transcript showing academic performance and enrollment status.
  • Résumé or personal statement outlining educational goals, interest in agriculture/conservation, and how the scholarship will support the applicant’s development.
  • Other supporting materials as required by the application (e.g., proof of enrollment or high school graduation).

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic performance in relevant agricultural coursework.
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to agriculture, conservation tillage or related practices.
  • Quality and clarity of the application materials including the statement and supporting documents.

Additional Details:

  • The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Colorado Conservation Tillage Association and is funded through donations and proceeds from the organization’s annual conference.
  • Recipients are recognized at the High Plains No-Till Conference and must be prepared to enroll full-time for the funded semester.
