The Courage to Grow Scholarship was created to support students who are determined to pursue their college education despite financial challenges. This award recognizes individuals who show perseverance, motivation and a genuine desire to further their academic goals. Designed with accessibility in mind, the scholarship requires only a brief essay and a minimum GPA, making it an attainable opportunity for many students.
To qualify, applicants must be legal residents of the continental United States and must meet the minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants are asked to submit a short essay of 250 words or fewer explaining why they believe they deserve the scholarship. Finalists are selected one week after the application deadline, and award funds—up to $500—are sent directly to the student’s college or university upon proof of enrollment and verification of GPA.
