Information And Eligibility: Directron.com is an online computer store, which offers their annual Directron.com Scholarship Program to college-bound high school seniors and current undergraduate college students. Directron.com Scholarship Program applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll in college, or current undergraduate college students. Scholarship applicants must be legal residents of the Unites States. Applicants will be required to submit an essay with a topic that is related to computer technology. The essay may be technical or non-technical in nature, but it must be computer related. Essays should be at least two single-spaced pages long and pictures are not required, but encouraged. Along with their essay, scholarship applicants must include an application letter with a short bio, the college you are attending or plan to attend, which year of school you are currently attending, and your current or intended college major.
Scholarship essays will be judged 50% on the academic merit of writing and 50% on originality and creativity of the essay. All essays must have correct spelling and grammar. Directron.com Scholarship Program awards are as follows: The first place winner will receive an $800 college scholarship. The second place winners will receive a $500 college scholarship (two prizes), and the third place winners will receive a $200 college scholarship (three prizes).
