The Doris and Joel Abramson Scholarship is designed for students who plan to focus on teaching learning-disabled children. This scholarship supports individuals dedicated to making a difference in the field of special education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Residency: Must reside in one of the 21 towns served by the Connecticut Community Foundation.
  • Academic Performance: Possess a cumulative academic average of B- (2.75 GPA) or higher.
  • Educational Plans: Plan to attend an accredited college or university in the U.S. as a new, returning, or current college student, with a focus on special education.
  • Financial Need: For new applicants, a FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $30,000 is required.
