Award Amount:

• Georgia Residents: $5,000 renewable annual stipend (can be combined with the Zell Miller or HOPE Scholarship).
• Non-Residents: $5,000 renewable annual stipend plus a Presidential Waiver for non-resident fees.

Information and Eligibility:

The Dr. Henry King Stanford Scholarship is awarded to students who applied for the Foundation Fellowship but were not selected as recipients. It is offered to first-year students who are admitted to the Jere W. Morehead Honors College and demonstrate exceptional academic performance and leadership qualities.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Residency: Open to both Georgia residents and non-residents.
• Academic Achievement: Must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, including a strong GPA and standardized test scores.
• Honors College: Must be admitted to the Jere W. Morehead Honors College.
• Foundation Fellowship Application: Must have applied for the Foundation Fellowship.

Selection Criteria:

• Strong academic record and potential for success in rigorous coursework.
• Demonstrated leadership and engagement in extracurricular activities.

Application Requirements:

• Submit the First-Year application to the University of Georgia.
• Apply for the Foundation Fellowship.
• Gain admission to the Jere W. Morehead Honors College.

Additional Information:

• The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided recipients maintain full-time enrollment and a 3.4 UGA GPA.
