Information and Eligibility:
The Emma Bowen Foundation (EBF) Fellows Program offers competitive, multi-year, paid summer internships for students of color in the media, technology, and business sectors. Fellows engage in immersive, hands-on training at leading companies in areas such as Business (e.g., marketing, sales, HR), Content (e.g., journalism, production), and Innovation (e.g., software development, engineering. In addition to financial support through internships, fellows have access to:

  • The annual Summer Conference and the Launch Career Activation Program
  • Professional mentoring, coaching, and networking opportunities
  • An active community of peers, alumni, and industry partners to support long-term career growth
  • Eligibility to apply for need-based academic scholarships

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Demographics: Must identify as a student of color (e.g., Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Pacific Islander, Multiracial).
  • Academic Status: High school seniors or undergraduate students graduating in Spring or later, enrolled (or planning to enroll/transfer) at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Academic Performance: Cumulative GPA of at least.
  • Career Focus: Interest in pursuing a career in media, technology, or business.
  • Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and speak/write English.

Deadline: Rolling admissions; applications accepted year-round with ongoing review from September through early spring—final selection placements are confirmed by May.
