The First Generation Matching Grant Program (FGMG) provides need-based grants to Florida residents who are first-generation college students. This program is designed to support degree-seeking undergraduates whose parents have not earned baccalaureate degrees.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Residency: Must be a Florida resident and U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen.
  • First Generation Status: Neither of the student’s parents can hold a baccalaureate degree.
  • Financial Need: Must demonstrate substantial financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Enrollment: Must enroll as a degree-seeking undergraduate at an eligible Florida public institution.
