Award Amount: $10,000 (renewable up to $40,000 total)

Information And Eligibility:
The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is a nationally distinguished award created to honor student leaders who embody the core values of President Ronald Reagan—leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship. Developed through a partnership between The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and GE, this scholarship is designed to support exceptional high school seniors who demonstrate not only strong academic performance, but also a commitment to service, character, and positive impact within their schools and communities.

Each year, up to 20 students nationwide are selected to receive a renewable scholarship of $10,000 per year. When renewed annually, recipients may receive up to $40,000 over four years of undergraduate study. The scholarship is highly competitive, seeking individuals who show meaningful and sustained leadership, a history of ethical decision-making, and a desire to contribute to their communities in ways that reflect President Reagan’s values and legacy. Scholars also join an accomplished network of GE-Reagan Foundation Scholars, gaining access to leadership development opportunities and ongoing mentorship.

Applicants must complete a comprehensive online application and obtain an official nomination from a community leader such as a high school principal, elected official, nonprofit executive, or other qualified adult who can speak to the applicant’s character and leadership. The application requires detailed information on academics, extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, service activities, and personal character. Essays and supplemental materials may also be required to fully evaluate each candidate’s commitment to the program’s core values.
