Award Amount:

• Georgia Residents: $3,000 renewable annual stipend (in addition to the Zell Miller or HOPE Scholarship).

The Harris Scholarship is awarded to academically superior students graduating from high schools in Clarke County, Georgia. This scholarship aims to support local students in pursuing higher education at the University of Georgia.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Residency: Must be a Georgia resident.
• High School: Must graduate from a high school located in Clarke County, Georgia.
• Academic Achievement: Must demonstrate strong academic performance, including a competitive GPA and standardized test scores.
• Enrollment: Must be admitted to the University of Georgia as a first-year student.

Selection Criteria:

• High academic performance and rigor of high school coursework.
• Graduation from a high school in Clarke County, Georgia.
• Demonstrated potential to succeed at UGA.

Application Requirements:

• Submit the First-Year application to the University of Georgia.
• Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their application for admission.

Additional Information:

• The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided recipients maintain full-time enrollment and a 3.0 UGA GPA.
