Award Amount:

• Honors Level: Up to $1,680 per semester.
• Performance Level: Up to $1,260 per semester.
• Opportunity Level: Up to $840 per semester.

Overview:

The Hathaway Scholarship Program provides merit- and need-based awards to Wyoming high school graduates to incentivize and support postsecondary education within the state. Named in honor of former Wyoming Governor Stanley K. Hathaway, the scholarship can be used at any of the state’s community colleges or the University of Wyoming.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a Wyoming resident.
• Graduate from an eligible Wyoming high school, homeschool program, or obtain a high school equivalency certificate.
• Meet the specific academic requirements for one of the four scholarship levels, which include:
• Completion of the Hathaway Success Curriculum.
• Minimum GPA requirements ranging from 2.5 to 3.5, depending on the scholarship level.
• Minimum ACT scores ranging from 17 to 25, depending on the scholarship level.
• Enroll at least half-time at an eligible Wyoming postsecondary institution.

Application Requirements:

• Complete the Hathaway Scholarship application through the financial aid office of the chosen Wyoming postsecondary institution.
• Submit official high school transcripts or equivalency documentation.
• Provide official ACT scores.
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if applying for need-based aid.

Application Timeline:

• Application Deadline: Within 48 months of high school graduation.
• Award Notification: Recipients are informed by the financial aid office of their chosen institution upon application review.

• The scholarship is renewable for up to eight full-time semesters, provided the student maintains continuous enrollment and meets GPA requirements specific to their scholarship level.
