Name: Humanity Rising “What Cause Inspires You?” Service Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,500 scholarship to be used at a college or trade school

Information and Eligibility:
The Humanity Rising “What Cause Inspires You?” Service Scholarship recognizes high school students who are making a positive difference in their communities through volunteer work or service projects. The program aims to celebrate and amplify the voices of young changemakers, inspiring others to take action toward creating a more compassionate world.

To apply, students must share their service story in writing (400 words or less) and may optionally enhance their submission by uploading a 60-second video to YouTube and providing the link. Creativity is encouraged, and applicants can include photos or video clips of their service work. Submissions should speak from the heart and showcase the impact of the student’s service.

Participation in the Humanity Rising movement and joining the Humanity Rising Group on InnerView is encouraged to access additional service opportunities, earn service-learning hours, and qualify for more awards throughout the year. Selected applicants may be invited to share their stories on the Humanity Rising VOICES podcast.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Enrollment: Must be a current high school student.
• Service Requirement: Must be actively involved in volunteer work or have created a service project.
• Submission: Must submit a written service story (under 400 words) and may optionally include a 60-second YouTube video link using the hashtag #whatcauseinspiresyou2025.

Deadline: Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis; applications may be submitted at any time.
