Information and Eligibility:

The Innovation in Education Scholarship is provided monthly by LA Tutors 123. It aims to honor high‑school and college students who demonstrate creativity and innovation in projects that benefit others—such as developing new apps, organizing community fundraisers, launching blogs, or other impactful initiatives. Awarded based on originality, user experience, and real-world impact, the scholarship supports efforts that make education better or more accessible.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in high school or college/university.
  • Academic Achievement: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
  • Citizenship Status: Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and international students with valid visas in the U.S. or Canada.
  • Innovation Requirement: Applicants must submit a project that directly addresses a real problem or need, demonstrating creativity, originality, and practical benefit.

Application Process
All applicants must submit the following:

  • Completed Application Form: Via the official Innovation in Education Scholarship portal on LA Tutors’ website.
  • Essay/Project Description: Describe the project’s goals, innovation, impact, and execution—typically in essay format.
  • Supporting Documentation (Optional but Encouraged): Proof of your project’s impact (e.g. photos, articles, recommendation letters, links to websites).

Deadline: Application must be submitted online by 11:59 PM PST on the 20th of each month. The submission portal closes after the 20th and reopens at 8 AM PST on the 1st of the next month.

Notification and Disbursement:

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges after the 20th. Winners are notified via email and must respond within five (5) days to accept the award. Scholarship funds are processed via check and can be applied toward tuition, fees, books, or on‑campus room and board. Funds are sent by mail. LA Tutors reserves the right to select alternates if contact is not made within the required timeframe.
