Information And Eligibility:
The Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) Student-Athlete Achievement Award is a scholarship program conducted by the IBA to recognize outstanding high school student-athletes in Iowa who excel academically, athletically, and in community involvement. Each year, a recipient from each class level in state-qualifying sports (such as football, basketball, or wrestling) is selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice. The program honors IBA’s commitment to supporting young leaders who demonstrate athletic achievement, strong academics, leadership skills, and community engagement.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a graduating high school senior from a qualifying Iowa high school athletic program
• Must have competed in sports recognized under the IBA Student-Athlete Achievement Award program (e.g. football, basketball, wrestling)
• Must demonstrate strong academic performance and community/leadership involvement
• Must complete the IBA scholarship application by the required deadline

Application Requirements:

• Completed IBA Student-Athlete Achievement Award application form
• Academic transcript showing GPA and course load
• Documentation of athletic participation (e.g., letter from coach or athletic director)
• Evidence of community service or leadership activities (e.g., volunteer work, club participation)
• Any additional materials requested by IBA (recommendation letters, personal statement, etc.)
