Information and Eligibility:
The Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) awards the Future of Agriculture Scholarship to support high school seniors and current college students pursuing degrees that contribute to Iowa’s agriculture industry. The program is open to those affiliated with ICGA membership, and aims to help invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Eligibility criteria include:

• Membership/Relationship: Applicant must be an ICGA member or a dependent of a member.
• Academic Level: High school senior entering college, or current undergraduate or graduate student in an agriculture-related field.
• Field of Study: Enrolled or planning to enroll in a 2-year or 4-year program (or graduate) that equips the student to contribute to Iowa’s agriculture industry.

Application Requirements:

• Completed online application form via the ICGA scholarship portal.
• Essay portion, transcripts, résumé or summary of goals and agricultural involvement (as required in the application).

Selection Criteria:

• Academic record and potential for success in an agriculture-focused program.
• Demonstrated interest in agriculture, leadership, and future contributions to Iowa’s ag industry.

Additional Details:

• Eighteen (18) scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually: nine designated for first-year college students and nine for upper-division or graduate students, aligned with the nine Iowa Corn district territories.
• Winners are notified in spring and funds are distributed for one year; previous recipients may re-apply.
