The KyANA AANA Annual Congress Scholarship is an educational travel scholarship created to support anesthesia students attending the AANA Annual Congress. Sponsored by the Kentucky Association of Nurse Anesthetists, this scholarship reflects KyANA’s commitment to professional development, continuing education, and leadership cultivation among future CRNAs.
KyANA has expanded this program by doubling the number of scholarships awarded, allowing more students to benefit from exposure to national-level education, research, and professional networking. The AANA Annual Congress provides attendees with access to cutting-edge clinical education, policy discussions, and connections with CRNAs and anesthesia leaders from across the country.
Applicants must submit a short essay of at least three paragraphs outlining the professional benefits of attending the Annual Congress. Essays are reviewed and scored by KyANA’s Leadership Identification Committee, and scholarships are awarded to the four highest-scoring applicants.
Eligibility is open to anesthesia students who are Kentucky residents, as well as students who meet specific residency, licensure, and clinical placement criteria tied to the state of Kentucky. The application process opens in the spring.
