Name: The Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women Program

Information And Eligibility: Each year, Linda Lael Miller awards college scholarships to eligible women, in an effort to help them pursue their goals and improve their life through the achievement of a higher education. This opportunity is specific to women who are above the age of 25, and who have experienced barriers to achieving their educational goals. Unlike most scholarships, where awards can only be applied towards tuition and books, the Linda Lael Miller Scholarships may be used for child care, transportation, day-to-day expenses, or to pay off student loans.
To qualify, a woman must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada, and must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university located in the United States or Canada. Applicants will be required to submit an original essay of 500 words or less, that explains why the student is applying for the scholarship, how achieving her educational goals will enhance her and her family’s future, and the specific purpose for the funds.
