Eligibility Criteria:

  • Citizenship: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. If required, must be registered with the Selective Service.
  • Residency: Applicant must be a Louisiana resident for at least two years prior to July 1 immediately preceding the academic year of enrollment.
  • Academic Standing: Applicant must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Enrollment Status: Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an approved teacher preparation or alternative certification program at an eligible postsecondary institution in Louisiana.
