Established in 1998, the March of Dimes Nursing Scholarships were created to recognize, support, and promote excellence in nursing education, with a strong focus on improving maternal and infant health outcomes. These scholarships reflect the long-standing mission of the March of Dimes to ensure that all families have access to equitable, high-quality care before, during, and after pregnancy.

The program awards scholarships to top-scoring applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a clear commitment to addressing the maternal and infant health crisis in the United States. Each selected recipient receives a $10,000 scholarship, made possible through the generous support of Pampers®, a valued March of Dimes partner.

These scholarships are specifically designed for undergraduate nursing students who are passionate about respectful, inclusive care and who plan to work in maternal or infant health settings after graduation. Applicants are expected to show not only strong academic performance, but also a personal and professional dedication to advancing health equity for mothers and babies.

Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the March of Dimes Nursing Scholarships, applicants must meet all program requirements and demonstrate alignment with the organization’s mission.

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate nursing program
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to maternal and/or infant health
  • Must intend to work in maternal or infant health after graduation
  • Must show dedication to respectful, equitable care for all families

Applicants are evaluated holistically, with consideration given to academic achievement, leadership qualities, community involvement, and demonstrated passion for improving outcomes for mothers and infants—particularly those from underserved or high-risk populations.
