Award Amount: $1,500 per recipient (one awarded each fall and spring semester; $3,000 total annually)

Information and Eligibility:
MarvelOptics.com, a leading prescription eyeglass company, offers the MarvelOptics.com National Scholarship Contest to support current full-time students pursuing higher education. Founded by young entrepreneurs who value quality education, hard work, and ambition, the scholarship aims to help students overcome financial barriers to achieving their dreams.

The contest is open to any current, full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year American college or university, with no age or major restrictions. Applicants must select one or more preferred social media platforms (Blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube) and respond to the prompt:
Helen Keller said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” What does that mean to you?

Entries may be submitted as:

  • Essay: A short essay of no more than 300 words.
  • Video: A 1-minute original video.

Applicants must:

  • Post their entry on their chosen social media outlet(s) or blog, following platform-specific instructions for including the MarvelOptics.com link or mention.
  • Submit a signed content contribution agreement to customerservice@marveloptics.com.
  • Include in the submission email: full name, email address, phone number, school name, major, graduation date, financial aid office address and ID number, and links to all posted entries.
  • Ensure all guidelines are met for the entry to be eligible.

Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books only. Awards are non-renewable and recipients may only win once in their lifetime.

Deadline: August 15 (Fall semester) and January 5 (Spring semester), 12:00 midnight EST each year.
