The Mary Doctor Fine Arts Scholarship, established in honor of Mary Doctor—a dedicated Charlotte business owner and supporter of Blumenthal Arts—annually awards scholarships to high school seniors in the Charlotte region pursuing undergraduate degrees in various arts disciplines. The scholarship aims to support students with financial need who exhibit strong potential and a commitment to enriching others’ lives through the arts.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Residency: Applicants must reside in one of the following Charlotte-area counties: Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanley, Union, Chester (SC), Chesterfield (SC), Lancaster (SC), or York (SC).
• Academic Achievement: Applicants should have a strong academic record, as evidenced by their GPA and course selection.
• Arts Discipline: Applicants must plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in an arts discipline such as music, dance, theatre, technical theatre, arts administration, arts education, film, digital arts, or studio arts.
• Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need is a key consideration in the selection process.
• College Acceptance: Applicants must have been accepted by a college or university with an established arts program.
• Commitment to the Arts: A demonstrated desire to use arts training to enrich the lives of others is essential.

Deadline: Application materials must be submitted by March 10. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
