Information And Eligibility:

The U.S. Department of Labor expects Medical Assisting opportunities to grow 34 percent between 2008 and 2018. If you are considering a degree in the Medical Assisting field, start by applying for scholarships for your Medical Assisting degree. If you are currently enrolled in a Medical Assisting Program, a scholarship such as The Maxine Williams Scholarship for Medical Assisting is awarded to students currently enrolled in a Medical Assisting program, and who have completed a minimum of one quarter or semester at a postsecondary medical assisting program accredited by (CAAHEP).

Applicants interested in applying for the Maxine Williams Scholarship for Medical Assisting must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and must be residents of the United States of America.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP.
  • Must have completed at least one quarter or semester in the program.
