The May Firm Bi‑Annual Scholarship is offered by The May Firm, a California-based personal injury law firm founded by attorney Robert May—himself the first in his family to attend college. Applicants are required to submit a 300-word essay describing a traumatic experience in their life and how they overcame it. In addition, applicants must include a current resume listing their GPA and the college or community college they attend or plan to attend. Winners are chosen based on the essay’s quality and personal insight rather than academic merit or financial need.
