Award Amount: Up to $5,500 per year for public universities, $4,000 for private institutions, or $2,750 for community colleges

The Michigan Achievement Scholarship is a transformational program aimed at making college more affordable for Michigan high school graduates. Eligible students can receive significant financial support to attend a public university, private college, or community college in Michigan. This program is designed to encourage more Michigan residents to pursue higher education and reduce student debt.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a Michigan resident for at least one year prior to the application.
  • Graduate from a Michigan high school in 2023 or later.
  • Family’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) must be $25,000 or less, as determined by FAFSA.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in an eligible Michigan institution.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the FAFSA by the deadline.
  • Provide additional documentation if requested by the Michigan Office of Student Aid.
