Information And Eligibility:
The Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (MGIB-AD) provides education benefits to service members who have completed a minimum period of active duty service. The program helps eligible veterans and service members pay for college degrees, vocational training, apprenticeships, flight training, and other approved education and training programs.

Participants contribute $100 per month for the first 12 months of service while on active duty. After completing the required service obligation and receiving an honorable discharge, eligible individuals may receive monthly education payments while enrolled in approved educational programs.

MGIB-AD benefits can be used at colleges, universities, technical schools, and other approved training institutions. Benefits may also be used for on-the-job training, certification programs, and certain distance learning programs that meet Department of Veterans Affairs requirements.
