Information And Eligibility: The Mutual of Omaha Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students is offering a $5,000 award to undergraduate college students who are interested in actuarial careers. To be eligible for this college scholarship opportunity, students must meet the following eligibility requirements: applicants must be of African American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, or Alaskan Eskimo decent. Applicants must be a current U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. All eligible applicants must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student, and must be pursuing an actuarial or mathematics-related degree, with the goal of pursuing an actuarial career. Applicants must have successfully passed at least one actuarial exam, and must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of a 3.0 or higher. Those selected to win a Mutual of Omaha Actuarial Scholarship will receive a $5,000 award, as well as a summer internship at Mutual of Omaha’s Home Office in Omaha, Nebraska. Mutual of Omaha’s Actuarial summer interns will receive paid housing, a competitive hourly rate of pay, financial incentives for successful exam results, and the opportunity to attend company-sponsored activities throughout the summer.
