Name: NACA Northern Plains Regional Student Leadership Scholarship – National Association for Campus Activities Foundation
Award Amount: $500
Information And Eligibility:
The NACA Northern Plains Regional Student Leadership Scholarship is a recognition-based scholarship awarded by the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Foundation to honor undergraduate students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and meaningful impact within their campus communities. This scholarship is designed specifically for students enrolled at colleges and universities in the Northern Plains region who play active roles in shaping student life through programming, governance, student organizations, and campus engagement.
The scholarship focuses on leadership that goes beyond participation. Eligible applicants are students who have held significant leadership roles and have made measurable contributions to campus activities, student programming, or community-building initiatives. This may include involvement in student government, campus activities boards, programming councils, orientation leadership, multicultural organizations, or other student-led initiatives that enhance the overall student experience.
Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students and be in good academic and disciplinary standing at their institution. High school students are not eligible for this award. The Northern Plains region includes institutions located in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Students attending colleges or universities within these states are eligible to apply, provided they meet all other criteria.
The NACA Foundation places strong emphasis on leadership development and student engagement as tools for personal growth and institutional impact. Applicants are encouraged to clearly articulate how their leadership roles have influenced campus culture, supported student involvement, or improved access to programming and resources. Strong applications often highlight initiative, collaboration, problem-solving, and sustained commitment to student life rather than one-time involvement.
The scholarship is awarded as a one-time grant and may be used toward education-related expenses such as tuition, required fees, or books. While the award amount is modest, the recognition carries significant value for students pursuing careers in higher education, student affairs, leadership development, nonprofit work, or related fields. Being selected reflects a student’s dedication to leadership excellence and service within the campus community.
