Name: Nanook Commitment Scholarship
Award Amount: $100 – $4,000 per academic year
Information And Eligibility:
The Nanook Commitment Scholarship is a renewable financial aid award offered by the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) to help incoming students reduce the cost of attending college. The scholarship is designed to assist eligible first-year, transfer, and readmitted students by helping bridge the gap between available financial resources and the total cost of attendance at UAF.
This program uses information from both the admissions application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility. Students who qualify for the Nanook Commitment Scholarship receive guaranteed financial assistance that helps cover tuition and other educational expenses. The goal of the program is to make higher education more accessible and affordable for students who may need additional support in order to enroll and succeed in college.
The scholarship is renewable for eligible students who maintain satisfactory academic progress while enrolled at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. By providing consistent financial assistance throughout a student’s academic career, the Nanook Commitment Scholarship encourages long-term degree completion and helps students focus on their academic and career goals.
