Information And Eligibility: The National Association of Black Journalists Scholarship Program (NABJ Scholarships) gives away several college scholarships worth up to $2500 each year to students pursuing journalism related studies. National Association of Black Journalists Scholarships are open to both US residents and international students, studying at an accredited four-year college, university, or school in the United States of America.
NABJ Scholarship applicants must be journalism majors who plan on pursuing a career in the field of journalism to apply. There is no grade point average requirement for this scholarship opportunity, however applicants are asked to submit a 500 to 800 word essay that outlines their accomplishments as a journalist thus far, their journalism career goals, as well as briefly explain their financial need for the scholarship. In addition to the short essay, applicants are required to submit five samples of their work.
