The Dean’s Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and potential. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support students who have excelled academically throughout their high school years and have shown a strong commitment to their education. The Dean’s Scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, leadership qualities, and overall potential for success at UNH.

Eligibility for the Dean’s Scholarship includes:

• Academic Excellence: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have demonstrated academic excellence throughout their high school career.
• Test Scores: While standardized test scores (ACT/SAT) are not always required, applicants with competitive scores will be strongly considered for this award.
• Leadership and Extracurricular Activities: Applicants should have demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, community service, and/or other areas outside the classroom. The Dean’s Scholarship seeks students who have the potential to make a positive impact on the UNH community.
• Renewal Requirements: This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters), provided the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues full-time enrollment at UNH. Recipients are also expected to maintain a commitment to leadership and community engagement during their time at the university.

The Dean’s Scholarship can be used to cover tuition and other academic-related expenses. It is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to recognize high-achieving students and provide them with the resources necessary to succeed. In addition to the financial award, recipients may have opportunities for academic mentorship and involvement in leadership development programs designed to help students thrive in their academic careers.
