Award Amount: $1,000 – $2,500 per recipient

Information and Eligibility:
The OAB Education Foundation offers annual scholarships to students majoring in broadcasting at Oklahoma colleges and universities. Applicants must be juniors or seniors, maintain a strong academic record in industry-related coursework, be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credits), and plan to enter the broadcasting field upon graduation.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Academic Level: Junior or senior undergraduate student in a broadcasting program.
• Field of Study: Major or minor in broadcasting or a closely related media discipline at an Oklahoma college or university.
• Course Load: Enrolled in at least 12 credit hours during the scholarship period.
• Academic Achievement: Must maintain a minimum “B” average in all industry-related courses.
• Career Intention: Student plans to enter the broadcasting industry after graduation.

Application Requirements:

• Completed scholarship application form from the OAB Education Foundation.
• Résumé or personal statement detailing educational history, broadcast/media experience, and career goals.
• Official or unofficial transcript showing enrollment, completed credits, and GPA.
• Proof of enrollment in an Oklahoma college or university broadcasting program.

Selection Criteria:

• Academic excellence in broadcasting or media-related coursework.
• Demonstrated commitment to the broadcasting profession and relevant experience or extracurricular involvement.
• Quality and clarity of the personal statement outlining career goals.
• Strength of résumé and relevance of past media/broadcast assignments.

Additional Details:

• The OAB Education Foundation also maintains a Student Assistance Fund and a Faculty Fellowship for broadcast educators.
• Scholarship funds are awarded through the Foundation and are intended for students studying in Oklahoma-based broadcast education programs.
