Information and Eligibility:
The Oklahoma Society of CPAs Educational Foundation provides scholarships to outstanding accounting students pursuing a degree in Oklahoma. The Foundation’s mission is to encourage future CPAs and strengthen the accounting profession by offering financial assistance to deserving students who have demonstrated academic achievement and professional promise.

Scholarships are open to accounting majors attending accredited colleges and universities in Oklahoma. Awards vary in amount and may include general scholarships as well as named scholarships recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Academic Level: Undergraduate or graduate accounting students enrolled in an accredited Oklahoma college or university.
• Field of Study: Must be pursuing a degree in accounting with the intention of becoming a CPA.
• Membership: Applicants must be current OSCPA student members and AICPA student affiliate members, or in the process of joining.
• Coursework: Completion of at least six credit hours of principles of accounting courses.
• Residency: Must be attending school in Oklahoma; residency in the state is preferred.

Application Requirements:

• Completed OSCPA Educational Foundation Scholarship application form.
• Personal statement describing academic goals and interest in the accounting profession.
• Official or unofficial transcript showing coursework and cumulative GPA.
• Two letters of recommendation from professors or accounting professionals.
• Résumé highlighting extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and community involvement.

Selection Criteria:

• Academic excellence in accounting and related coursework.
• Commitment to the accounting profession and pursuit of CPA licensure.
• Evidence of leadership, integrity, and community engagement.
