Award Amount:

Information and Eligibility:
The Oregon Promise Grant is a state grant that helps cover most tuition costs at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates or GED recipients.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Residency: Must be an Oregon resident for at least 12 months before attending college.
  • High School/GED: Must be a recent high school graduate or GED recipient with a 2.0 GPA or higher.
  • Enrollment: Must enroll at least half-time (6+ credits) at an Oregon community college within six months of graduating high school or completing a GED.
  • FAFSA/ORSAA: Must complete the FAFSA or ORSAA and list at least one Oregon community college.

Application Requirements:

  • Submit the Oregon Promise Grant application through the OSAC portal.
  • Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA.
  • Submit a final high school transcript or GED test scores.

Application Timeline:

  • Fall Term Start: Apply by June 1
  • Winter Term Start: Apply by November 1
  • Spring Term Start: Apply by February 1

Additional Information:

  • Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and complete a First-Year Experience program at their community college.
  • Grants are prorated based on part-time enrollment.
