Award Amount:

• Up to $6,700 for the freshman year.
• Up to $7,500 for each subsequent year.

Information and Eligibility:
The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship is a merit-based program designed to recognize academically talented high school seniors and encourage them to attend college within South Carolina. This scholarship promotes academic excellence and supports students in achieving their educational goals.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a South Carolina resident at the time of high school graduation and during the scholarship award period.
• Applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
  • A minimum score of 1200 on the SAT (27 ACT) by the November test date of the senior year.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher based on the SC Uniform Grading Scale at the end of the junior year.
  • Ranked in the top 6% of the graduating class at the end of the sophomore, junior, or senior year.
• Homeschooled students or those from schools not ranking students must meet SAT/ACT and GPA criteria.

Application Requirements:

• School counselors must submit applications on behalf of eligible students.
• Students must provide their academic transcripts and official SAT/ACT scores.

Application Timeline:

• Phase 1 Deadline: December 15 (based on academic achievement through the junior year).
• Phase 2 Deadline: June 15 (based on academic achievement through the senior year).

Additional Information:

• Scholarship is renewable for up to eight terms of undergraduate study, provided recipients maintain eligibility criteria.
• Recipients must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and earn at least 30 credit hours each academic year.
