Award Amount: $1,000 per recipient

Information and Eligibility:
The Power of Resilience Scholarship supports students who have faced significant challenges or adversity and are now pursuing higher education with determination and purpose. This scholarship recognizes resilience, perseverance, and the drive to succeed despite obstacles. Applicants can be high school seniors or current college students in undergraduate programs.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Academic Level: High school seniors planning to enroll full-time in college, or undergraduate students currently enrolled in an accredited institution.
• Residency: Applicant must be a citizen or resident of the United States attending an accredited college/university.
• Resilience Demonstration: Applicant must outline a meaningful challenge or adversity they have overcome and how that experience shapes their educational goals.

Application Requirements:

• Completed scholarship application form designated for the Power of Resilience Scholarship.
• Official or unofficial transcript showing academic performance and current enrollment or acceptance status.
• Personal statement or essay describing the challenge/adversity faced, how the student overcame it, and how their experience will influence their future success and goals.
• Résumé or list of extracurricular activities, service, leadership, work experience, or other indicators of readiness and commitment.

Selection Criteria:

• Strength and clarity of the personal statement or essay, showing genuine resilience, insight and growth.
• Academic performance demonstrating readiness for college or continued higher‐education success.
• Overall quality of application materials including résumé, activities/involvement and future educational goals.

Additional Details:

• Scholarship funds are awarded directly to the recipient’s accredited institution for use toward tuition, fees, books or other qualified educational expenses.
• One award is presented annually. The number of recipients may vary depending on funding availability.
