Name: ScholarGamers Video Game Scholarships
Award Amount: $10000
Information And Eligibility: Playing video games to earn college scholarships? This is what ScholarGamers.com is setting out to do. Unlike most college scholarship competitions, ScholarGamers.com is not looking for those who have the best grades or those who can write the best essays… they are looking for those who can beat their peers in video games. As you win games and achieve top scores, you can qualify for one of the scholarships ScholarGamers.com is offering. The top ten students with the highest cumulative scores, and the five top scorers on each individual game will be invited to the Championship Round to be held at a location to be announced. The Winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship, and their school district’s technology department will receive a $1,000 donation. The 2nd Place finalist will receive a $7,500 scholarship and the 3rd place finalist will receive a $5,000 prize scholarship. Each competing student other than the top three winners will each receive a $500 scholarship. Random prizes will be awarded during tournament play.
To be eligible to enter ScholarGamers.com you must be between the ages of 13 and 19 and have not yet graduated from High School. You must be a legal resident of the 50 States and Washington DC of the United States of America or Puerto Rico, and must have not previously been a finalist in a ScholarGamers.com scholarship competition.
