Information And Eligibility: The Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers & Photographers, Inc. accepts applications for its coveted Scott-McKenna Memorial Scholarship on an ongoing basis. The Scott McKenna Memorial Scholarship award is given annually to a student with a career interest in communicating about the outdoors. Students do not need to have a declared major in a communications field in order to apply for the scholarship.
Outdoor communications take the form of published written material, photographs, illustrations, or messages broadcast on TV, radio, or the Internet. In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants should return the scholarship application, high school transcript, samples of photography and/or writing (along with any other relevant support materials) by the due date indicated on the website.
