The SME Education Foundation Family Scholarship is designed for students pursuing careers in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field. This scholarship is available to high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who are U.S. citizens or legal residents and enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or university. The scholarship aims to support students from families with a history of involvement in the manufacturing industry.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record, involvement in extracurricular activities, and a commitment to pursuing a career in manufacturing or engineering. Preference is given to students whose parents or immediate family members work or have worked in the manufacturing sector.
To apply, students must submit a completed application form, including a personal statement (500-750 words) describing their educational goals, career aspirations, and how their family’s connection to the manufacturing industry has influenced their educational path.
